STOP-MOTION the play AND the Feature Film
Sometimes, the Universe just shows up. Well, probably all the time, but sometimes you really notice it. This time, I really noticed it.
I am absolutely over the moon that I was able to join the cast of Stop-Motion by Liz Kerin. This project felt particularly like it was manifested. Over the past year and a half as the pandemic shut down theaters across the country, I started to lean in to my tv/film training and really fell in love with on-camera work, but that doesn’t mean I wasn’t still in love with the stage and in this absolute dream of a project, I had the opportunity to do BOTH. We were in the rehearsal room with Parity Productions and director Ludovica Villar-Hauser making Liz Kerin’s work come to life for a little over a month before we transitioned to Theatre for the New City where we had four Covid-safe and invitation only performances. THEN our brilliant design team transitioned the space, our AD Nancy Pop and DP Edna Luise Biesold stepped in and we began two weeks of production to create Stop-Motion the feature film. It was an absolutely mind-bending exercise of technique and a totally wild and furious ride, and I will be forever grateful. Who says you can’t have your cake and eat it too? Stay tuned for information on the premiere date!
